VCT EMEA Stage 2 2026: Full Schedule, Teams, and How to Watch
Europe, Turkey, and the Middle East's top VALORANT teams are battling through Group Stage matches now, with Play-ins and Playoffs still to come before Champions Shanghai spots are decided.
The Stakes Are Clear
VCT EMEA Stage 2 2026 is now underway, and the region’s best VALORANT teams are already making their cases for a trip to Champions Shanghai. According to Dot Esports, the full event runs from July 15 through August 31, covering Group Stage play, Play-ins, and Playoffs. The two teams who finish first and second in the Playoffs will punch their tickets to Champions Shanghai, which is reason enough to treat every map like it matters.
The Group Stage, currently in progress, runs through August 3. Matches are played in a single round-robin format with every series being a best-of-three. Twelve partnered teams are spread across the bracket, and every match win earns a Championship Point toward the larger VCT standings picture.
Early Results and Who’s Looking Sharp
The first week of play has already produced some notable results. On July 15, NAVI swept FUT Esports 2-0, taking both Split and Ascent comfortably. That same day, Eternal Fire handled Team Liquid with clean map scores on Split and Lotus.
Things got more interesting as the week continued. Karmine Corp swept Eternal Fire on July 17, then backed that up with a 2-0 win over GIANTX on Sunday, July 19, winning Haven 13-8 and Ascent 13-4. That puts Karmine Corp among the more convincing performers through the opening days.
Team Vitality had a rougher weekend. After beating Natus Vincere in a three-map series on Friday, the French org fell 0-2 to BBL Esports on Sunday, dropping both Haven and Split by two-point margins. BBL is quietly making a case to be taken seriously.
FNATIC opened with a 2-0 over GIANTX and haven’t played since, so their trajectory remains to be seen.
Format Breakdown and the Challenger Path
Once Group Stage wraps on August 3, Play-ins take over from August 5 through 17. The format is a 12-team double-elimination bracket built from eight Group Stage qualifiers plus four teams climbing up from the EMEA Regional Challengers.
Those four Challengers have already earned their spots. As reported by Dot Esports, Enterprise Esports, REBORN, and Joblife all qualified through Challengers EMEA Stage 3, while Eintracht Frankfurt came through the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier. For those four organizations, a strong Play-ins run is the clearest path into the upper tier of EMEA competition.
The Playoffs then run August 20 through 31. The top four teams from each group advance, with better Group Stage finishes translating into more favorable starting positions. Championship Points are awarded based on final placement: 8 points for the winner, 6 for second, 5 for third, and 4 for fourth.
The Schedule Ahead
Several high-profile matchups are still on the horizon in the Group Stage. FNATIC and Karmine Corp are set to meet on July 22, which shapes up as one of the more anticipated clashes given both teams’ strong starts. Team Liquid faces FNATIC on July 25, and Karmine Corp takes on Team Liquid on August 1, meaning those three teams could define the top of the standings by the time the Group Stage closes.
BBL Esports still has games remaining against FUT Esports and NAVI, tests that will tell us whether Sunday’s result against Vitality was a sign of things to come or a one-off.
With Champions Shanghai qualification hanging over every series, no team in this field can afford to coast through the second half of the Group Stage.
