ASRock Adds a White Option to Its QD-OLED Monitor Lineup

ASRock on July 24 announced two new Phantom Gaming monitors, the PGO27QSA and the PGO27QSA-W, rounding out a product line that the company has been steadily building out over the past year. The headline addition is the Minimal White colorway, giving players who prefer a cleaner desk aesthetic an option that does not require any performance trade-offs. Both monitors are otherwise identical under the hood.

The panel at the center of both models is a 27-inch flat QD-OLED display running at QHD resolution (2560 by 1440). ASRock is claiming a 240 Hz refresh rate and a 0.03 ms gray-to-gray response time, which puts it firmly in the competitive-gaming category. Those numbers are meant to minimize motion blur and ghosting, and they are the kind of specs that FPS and MOBA players tend to seek out when screen response is a meaningful part of how they perform.

Color Credentials Beyond Raw Speed

Raw refresh rate gets the most attention in monitor marketing, but the PGO27QSA series also comes with a few color-accuracy claims worth noting. ASRock says the monitors cover 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and ship with factory calibration targeting a Delta E of less than 2. That level of out-of-box accuracy is typically associated with content creation displays rather than gaming hardware, which makes it a reasonable selling point for anyone who uses the same screen for both.

AMD FreeSync Premium support is included as well, handling adaptive sync duties to cut down on tearing and stutter when frame rates fluctuate. The monitor does not appear to carry Nvidia G-Sync certification based on ASRock’s announcement, so players running green-team setups will want to confirm compatibility before purchasing.

Ergonomics and Connectivity

ASRock designed the stand to support height, swivel, tilt, and pivot adjustments. That full range of movement is not guaranteed even on monitors at this price tier, so it is a practical inclusion for anyone who spends long sessions at the desk or shares the monitor across different workloads throughout the day.

On the back, each unit ships with two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, and a headphone output. The dual HDMI 2.1 configuration is useful for console players who want to keep a PlayStation or Xbox connected alongside a PC without swapping cables. DisplayPort 1.4 can comfortably handle QHD at 240 Hz, so there is no bottleneck on the PC side either.

Two Colors, One Spec Sheet

The white edition, the PGO27QSA-W, is not a stripped-down variant or a limited run. It carries the same panel, refresh rate, color specs, and connectivity as the black model. ASRock is positioning it as a straightforward aesthetic choice for builders who lean toward monochromatic or light-themed setups rather than the darker look that has dominated gaming peripheral design for years.

This launch follows ASRock’s April introduction of the PG27QFW2A, a faster 400 Hz gaming monitor, which means the company now covers both the ultra-high-refresh-rate segment and this more broadly accessible 240 Hz QD-OLED tier within its Phantom Gaming lineup. The PGO27QSA sits in a crowded market alongside OLED offerings from Samsung, LG, and others, but the dual-color launch at least gives buyers a choice that most competing monitors still do not offer. Pricing was not announced in ASRock’s initial release.
